Great illustration for Wallpaper Magazine. Nick the main character who lives this dream life, is being waited on and cared for. Personally I would find it really difficult to relax and read my magazine, but I know there a lot who dream of exactly this.
I love the way Danae draws and shades her illustrations. She turns black and white into a colour and then adds a couple of choice colours in just the right places. I wonder if the lady adjusting the picture is dreaming of being of working for an illustration agency one day?

Nick takes delivery of another package, so that he can check the quality, before it is offered for sale on the new Wallpaper online store. This is one of my favourite illustrations by Danae Diaz, the composition and colours just work. It communicates a complicated message in a very clear way, with great style. The design on the packaging and the perspective are spot on! She has even got the Wallpaper Store home page on the iMac

Illustration by Danae Diaz produced for wallpaper Magazine. The feature was about how the behinds the scenes teams at hotels make them good. Which is why Danae and the art director have cleverly added the two characters peering from behind the curtain. I love that red curtain! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to make an entrance from behind a big red curtain. Looking at that reception reminds me of working for the illustration agency and rocking up at a fancy adverting agency reception with nothing but a smile and a dream.

Danae has set a beautiful table for 10 guest who are now arriving. I particularly like the table arrangements and overall design, those chairs are great. It is not surprising that this illustration was carefully art directed by the people at Wallpaper, who definitely set the style!

I love the way Danae draws and shades her illustrations. She turns black and white into a colour and then adds a couple of choice colours in just the right places. I am asking myself if all the characters represent the black strips from the zebra crossing? I also like the way that the people are regimented and waiting to cross. love this illustration! Maybe one of the characters works for an Illustration agency and has some pictures by Danae Diaz in their case!
