Stacey marsh was raised in the grassy fields of Ireland … amongst the branchy tree houses and leprechauns and marvelous creatures that roam under the Viking remains in the little village of Ballygunner. Perhaps it was this place that instilled her tendency to draw spindly doodley creatures.
Fast forward 20 years… that's 2006 to you and I, and the fields have been replaced by ….um, well, London. The calling came to move to the metropolis in a bid to get a degree in graphic design and jump into a somewhat larger creative pond. Now Stacey works full time as a graphic designer and illustrator, so it seems she is paddling nicely through it.
Trying her hand at a spectrum of creative endeavours, from motion graphics to web design, illustration has always been her innate passion. Focusing on the harmony and beauty of a not so perfect line and the wanderings of imagination, Stacey's work touches upon a playful abstraction and a toying of the mind. Compulsive about pattern (and lines for that matter) much of her time is spent trying to… well, make them - in all shapes and sizes. For the record, she also likes to make green tea. Oh and she loves wallpaper. Goes without saying really. It's the patterns that seduce!
Stacey hopes that, as you look through her work, you will get lost in a fun little world …much like the grassy fields with marvelous creatures of her youth.
