Sam Pierpoint, a twenty-four year old artist, illustrator and designer by day and a techno dj by night, she has a passion for quirky shapes and patterns, unconventional colour schemes, jazz, funk, soul, tech and general obscurity in all it's glory! Born and raised in Birmingham, Sam is a city girl through and through and is fascinated by urban nightlife and fashion. She has a burning desire to discover new, vibrant places all around the world. Her city life, however, has not tainted Sam's appreciation of mother nature. A lot of her work encapsulates the beauty and serenity that the natural world and has to offer. Her vast 3D landscapes depict scenes from mountain peaks, fairytale wonderland, right down to the deepest ocean beds. By layering and a diverse range of papers, building her work in 3D and breaking away from the standard rule of illustrating on a page, Sam is able to bring her work to life and is excited about how much further she can push her style in years to come.
