I was born in the wonderful year of 1983. The year of Michael Jackson’s Thriller video, Flashdance and My Little Pony. I grew up in the magical land of Suffolk where I learnt to draw and make stuff. These years were also spent growing hair on my face, drinking snake bites, driving a 4 gear fiesta and doing my A levels and art foundation. Then my pens and paper took me to Kingston School of Art and Design, where, I was awarded a pure gold degree in illustration and animation. Lovely.
Since that time of graduation in 2006, I have been drawing robots, wrestling bears, chatting unicorns and dancing foxes ever since. I now live in South London, where the sun shines every day and I use my hands to create felt tip masterpieces. My pens and I have been depicting the ordinary and the everyday with a splash of bright colour and little bit of humour. My ideas and drawings have found their way into various uses including print, visuals and advertising. I like London, Ron Burgendy, bold images, Adidas, Tea, fine tip pens, old pubs, Johnny Cash, vodka, unicorns, robots, bears, hand drawn text, to name but a few. At the moment I want to carry on doing what I love and creating images that are a little different and make people smile, not cry. |
