Pinglet
Pinglet was born in Singapore in the 70s. Her artistic abilities were discovered in kindergarten, where she often painted flowers and animals on her fellow classmates.
She received a BA in Design from Curtin University in Western Australia, and upon returning to Singapore, went on to become Art Director of top local magazines. She began dabbling in illustration in 2000, and entered into it full-time in May 2002. Her work for Mobile One, one of Singapore’s leading mobile services provider, created a sensation in Singapore, where they appeared in newspapers, on billboards and television.
She is currently based in Singapore, where she now lives with her husband, two fat cats and newborn baby girl.
Pinglet works regularly for a number of Singaporean publications. Her illustrations have also appeared in the Singapore edition of ELLE and FHM, as well as American magazines Lucky, YM and Health. Her online portfolio has been featured in portals such as Newstoday, Linkdup and CreativeBehaviour.
Among her corporate clients are Orange, Rover, Craik Jones, The UK newspaper The Daily Telegraph, Singapore Airlines, Mobile One and Singtel. In addition, Pinglet has also illustrated for several books, including ‘Sex Tips For Boys & Girls’ which debuts March 2004, and ‘Zouk: The Book’”. Her work also appears on the album ’Everybody Wants To Be No.1’ by Norwegian house group, Cantaloupe, released in September 2003. |
