After graduating from a fine art degree at Chelsea College of art, Noa Weintraub set up her own handbag label ‘girls best friend’. These handpainted handbags were all one-off pieces bought by clients such as Liv Tyler and Sam Taylor Wood.
Sold in boutiques in London, Los Angeles and a gallery in New York.
Noa also got involved with fashion styling, and that evolved into working for a year with stylist and art director Judy Blame.
Working with people such as David Bailey, Nick Knight, Neneh Cherry, Goldfrapp and Agent provocateur.
Noa’s background in fine art and fashion has given her a richer perspective on the way she approaches her work.
Her work is about the detail within simplicity.
She has designed wallpapers for private clients, written and illustrated two story books and currently has a greeting cards range sold in shops around London.
